Private services are planned for Maydene Adair Petty, who died Sunday, Oct. 4, at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose after a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mrs. Petty, 47, was born in Los Gatos and moved to Scotts Valley with her family in 1989. She was heavily involved in community sports.
Mrs. Petty is survived by her husband of 25 years, Matthew Petty; son, Matson Petty, 23; and twin daughters, Brittany and Ashley Petty, 19.
A private service at a close friend’s home will take place Oct. 17.
Donations in Mrs. Petty’s name may be directed to advance pancreatic cancer research.
