Kenny passed away after a long illness on Dec. 12, 2014, with his family at his bedside. Born in San Jose, he moved to Lockhart Gulch in Scotts Valley when he was four years old. He lived the rest of his life in the Scotts Valley area.
Kenny had a great sense of humor and was a kind and loyal friend. He worked at various jobs, including his father’s electrical company.
Ken loved to eat and became a great cook. He also loved cars and trucks, and began collecting RC cars and planes. He left a huge collection.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father “Kirby,” his brother Danny, both sets of grandparents, and his beloved dog, Chili.
He is survived by his mother Pat; brother Tim (Joel); nephews Michael, Jacob, Joshua, and niece Shannon (Adam), plus a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
The Kirby family invites Kenny’s friends to join our family in a celebration of life on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Moose Lodge, 2470 El Rancho Drive in Scotts Valley.
