Robert “Bob” Hulsey

Robert “Bob” Hulsey passed away on September 28, 2015. He was born on September 11, 1935 in Leadwood, Missouri, to Carl and Alberta Hulsey. He moved to California in high school. He graduated from FresnoState with a degree in criminology.
He worked for Santa CruzCounty in the Probation Department as an investigator, juvenile officer, and adult supervisor.
He taught Sunday School for many years and then became the Sunday School Superintendent at the Evangelical Free Church in Felton. For the last 20 years, his home church was TwinLakes in Aptos.
His favorite sport of all time was baseball.
He is survived by his lovely wife, Arleen (Lopez), and his daughters, Colette Schaefer (married to Rick Schaefer) and Jenny Bechtle (married to Wayne Bechtle).
He loved his grandchildren, Crystal and Chad Schaefer and Blake and Nikiya Bechtle. He is also survived by his brothers: Vernon, Virgil and David Hulsey and by his sister, Marilyn Blair.
He was always there for anyone who needed help and many said he was the sweetest and funniest man they had ever met. Heartfelt thanks to family and friends who regularly visited him. Bob will be missed forever by all who knew him.
