Just completing the three act comedy, “The Secret Affair of Mildred Wild,” the Mountain Community Theater will be gearing up for their next play. The “Last Noel” runs from November 20 to December 13 and will be directed by Robin Aronson.
The MCT consists of a group of people that include both veteran professionals and new actors from the community. The glue that holds them together is their passion for theater. The professionals include both the actors and the business and technical elements of their team.
Erick Gandolfi, Director of “The Secret Affair of Mildred Wild” said, “This is not your average community theater group. The Mountain Community Theater is an ongoing team made up of an artistic end and a professional end that all share a passion for the theater. When you have a strong team, you cannot tell the difference between the rookies and the veterans.”
“Once your job as a director is done, all you need to do is just tell the actors to say their lines,” said Gandolfi. All of the players, actors and technical parts of the team will have matched all their actions to the sounds that make up their routines.” The company is ready for their audience.
The “Last Noel” is a comic spoof of mayhem in a Christmas caroling community. Corruption amongst killer snowmen and femme fatales in the local underworld poses a challenge for the lead character as he tries to solve a murder when the weapon is a giant candy cane.
