Fatality on East Zayante Road

On November 5, a single car collided with the edge of the bridge near the intersection of West Zayante Road and East Zayante Road. A 24 year old Aptos woman was found deceased. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. Limited information is available pending notification of family members.
 Workmen on East Zayante Road noticed that a sign near the bridge was bent and when they approached the sign to repair it, they found a sedan had gone off the road into the ravine.
