Two cars remained on the roadway at 11:45 a.m., an hour after three cars crashed at Glenwood Drive on Highway 17. Traffic was backed up for miles because of the crash.

A late-morning accident on Highway 17 at Glenwood Drive stalled northbound cars for hours on Monday.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch log, three cars collided after one headed southbound came into the northbound lanes at about 10:08 a.m. People from both vehicles were out walking around when officers arrived 15 minutes later at 10:23 a.m.
CHP officers shut down one southbound lane to allow northbound traffic to pass the accident. Traffic was backed up from the Laurel Curve to Scotts Valley as drivers waited to get past the scene.
