Five-year-old Annalee Sater was diagnosed with cancer in December. La Rue De Corriere in Scotts Valley is hosting a weekend raffle fundraiser to help Annalee’s family afford chemotherapy and other treatments.

In December 2015, Baymonte kindergartener Annalee Sater, 5, was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, she has undergone chemotherapy but the treatment is costly and the community is trying to help the family.
Scotts Valley business owner Shanna Corriere, having had a child seriously ill years ago, was moved to help when she heard about Annalee’s struggles.
“They ride tricycles in hallways not parks. They know the names of their chemo meds instead of their classmates. Doctors and nurses become like family members. Their laughter will make you melt, and their strength inspires,” Corriere said. “When you meet a child with cancer the impression lasts forever.”
Corriere invites the community to join her Saturday and Sunday at her business La Rue De Corriere, 5275 Scotts Valley Drive, as she hosts a benefit raffle to help Annalee and her family to navigate a most difficult path.
Raffle tickets are only $2.00 each and can be purchased anytime at the business. Corriere will draw the winning ticket on Sunday and winners need not be present.
Store hours are Monday-Friday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturdays 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sundays 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. Call La Rue De Corriere at 466-6651.
