More than three dozen people came out to help the ceiling demolition Saturday at the Scotts Valley Performing Arts Center, 251 Kings Village Road.

More than 30 people showed up at the Scotts Valley Performing Arts Center on Saturday to help tear out the ceiling and prepare for the rehabilitation of the former roller rink.
Ray Gorski, volunteer crew chief for Scotts Valley Performing Arts, reported that more than 100 community members have come out throughout the length of the project to help out.
There is more demolition to be done on a work day April 23 at the theater. Volunteers will have to sign liability waivers and parents must sign for students under age 18. SVPA will provide water but volunteers will have to provide their own lunch. Contact Gorski at
