10:33 a.m., Threshold, Annoying/Harassing Phone Calls — Caller advised that unknown subject keeps calling the business and saying inappropriate things and then finally said he knew where their business was. Unknown male caller called the business excessively and made obscene comments. Male subject said he knew where the business was and that they could expect a “surprise.” There was no number on caller ID. Officer advised staff to be vigilant and report suspicious activity.
9:02 p.m., Hacienda Drive, Disturbance — Caller advised that every night around this time, an alarm sounds from an unknown business for 1 – 1 1/2 seconds when they are arming the system. Caller would like his information documented as to lodge a complaint against this business.

Oct. 1

9:01 p.m., Crescent Court, Driving Under the Influence — Strange car in caller’s driveway and it looks like someone slumped over the wheel. Utah plate, yellow Mustang. The reported male was arrested for DUI on drugs, as well as resisting arrest and transported to Dominican Hospital for medical evaluation, where he refused to submit to a chemical breath or blood test. The man’s 2017 Chevrolet Camaro rental car was towed from the scene.

Sept. 30

10:36 p.m., Lockewood Lane, Trespassing — Subject is mentally unstable and is refusing to leave. Caller tried taking him to behavioral health unit and subject would not go. Caller does not feel comfortable with him staying. Subject is by front door. Subject is agitated and shouting. No weapons in the house.
Caller advised officer that her husband took the subject back to his home outside of our jurisdiction. Subject left willingly.
8:44 p.m., Mt. Hermon Road, Driving Under the Influence — Older man, long gray hair, black T-shirt, white shorts, appeared to be intoxicated in the store as caller was behind him in line. Having trouble counting out his money, reeked of alcohol, getting into car slowly. Responding officer did a vehicle stop of black Mini Cooper northbound on Scotts Valley Drive near Malone’s.
Conducted an enforcement stop after observing multiple moving violations. Officer contacted the driver who displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication. Suspect given field sobriety test and arrested for DUI. Alcohol level was .19 percent, more than twice the legal level of .08 percent.
10:25 a.m., Leo’s Liquors, Theft — Caller left wallet on the counter yesterday around 2:45 p.m. Did not realize it until a short time later and returned to the business. Apparently, employee saw the wallet and thought it belonged to someone else, chased after that person and gave the wallet to him without checking first. On video. .

Sept. 29

9:41 p.m., Mt. Hermon Road, Driving Under the Influence — Dispatch received a 911caller stating she was behind a silver Toyota Tacoma which was swerving and almost caused a collision. Officer observed the described vehicle pass by on Mt. Hermon. Officer got behind the vehicle and observed it swerve from the #2 lane into the #1 lane and the vehicle made an illegal turn onto Lockhart Gulch Road. Officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver who displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication. Field sobriety test displayed multiple clues of impairment. Driver submitted to test which resulted in .082 percent and .079 percent blood alcohol level. Arrest made.
6 p.m., Scotts Valley High School, Battery — Caller at Dominican Hospital regarding her daughter,14,who was beaned by her best friend with a rock at 3 p.m.. May have had a verbal fight first. Daughter is definitely injured. Mom to provide statement. Following up with the caller regarding the incident to establish what occurred and whether there was any criminal activity involved.

Sept. 27

4:24 p.m., Whispering Pines Drive, Disturbance — Subjects from a landscaping company harassing an older woman and trying to take pictures of her. Officer contacted the reported female who was doing laundry behind the business. The female claims she was harassed by landscapers of the neighboring business, however the landscapers claimed she verbally harassed them as they were attempting to rake and blow the area clean where she was doing laundry. Officer spoke to the business owner who did not want the female behind the business. Officer spoke to all parties about their behavior and warned the female that she was not to hang around behind the business.
12:23 p.m., Sunset Terrace, Domestic Battery — Male is at caller’s house. Pushed and spit on her daughter. The two parties are now separated, but the caller advised the male is outside yelling. A male subject was arrested for domestic battery and vandalism to the residence after he was involved in a physical altercation with the caller’s daughter. The male was booked into county jail.
