The Valley Women’s Club’s Environmental Committee is gearing up for their 18th Annual Environmental Town Hall, Saturday at the Felton Community Hall, 6191 Highway 9.
Assemblyman Mark Stone will provide the keynote address on environmental issues and legislation at the state level. He will take questions from the public following his presentation.
The Santa Cruz County Mosquito and Vector Control Agency will give a presentation on how residents can curb mosquitoes and other disease-carrying pests around their homes.
The Coastal Watershed Council will provide information on the San Lorenzo River Alliance and the Women’s Club’s Environmental Committee will show off an ongoing children’s Art Contest on air quality, efforts to protect endangered fish populations, controversial local development projects, progress on the Monterey Bay Community Power effort, and the Restoration Project with AmeriCorps.
