Boulder Creek book signing to benefit animal rescue
Boulder Creek author and painter Margot Slowik will sign her book, “I Love Boulder Creek: New Poems for an Old Town,” next weekend at Art Services by Steve Lanctot, 13026 Highway 9, in Boulder Creek.
The book is a collection of 33 poems, sometimes hilarious, about businesses in Boulder Creek. The book is available for purchase at the San Lorenzo Valley Museum, Boulder Creek Pharmacy and Art Services.
Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 21, and Slowik will donate $1 from each book sold to Shelly’s Guardian Angels, a local group that finds homes for older pets.
Prints and cards of Slowik’s iconic “Christmas in Boulder Creek” painting will also be available.
