Update on the Sunday, March 31, 6:00 p.m. high speed chase on Mount Hermon Road and Whispering Pines Drive.
The chase began after an attempt to stop the vehicle for a code violation and ended near the Vista del Lago Mobile Home Park. Two people were apprehended, one with a gun in possession, while the driver was still at large as of this writing. The suspect is described as a light-skinned adult man.
Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Dee Baldwin said, “We are grateful that no one was injured. We are currently trying to locate the driver of the vehicle involved. The case is still open, and we will hold those involved accountable.”
