Scotts Valley Square trees returning

The Scotts Valley Square Shopping Center is currently undergoing Phase I of a remodel project and great things will be happening throughout the year. Don’t despair, although Phase I included removal of the hardscape in the shopping center, new plant material and colorful trees will be coming.
“The new hardscape will allow the center to better showcase retailers to the local community, as well as visitors to Scotts Valley,” said Wendy Volpano, PGI Management. “One of the main drivers of our landscaping efforts is the health of the trees. An arborist told us recently that we should have replaced the parking lot trees years ago, and that they were never intended to last 40 years. The new trees will be much healthier and will look much better. We appreciate the concern of the community, and it’s only in our interest to have the best looking landscaping we can.”
