Jill Cody to Speak on Climate Change
When: Tuesday July 2, 5:30 p.m.

Details: Jill Cody, a citizen advocate with a 31-year career in public service, will be the guest speaker at the Democratic Club of North Santa Cruz County. Her newly released book, Climate Abandoned, explores the concrete causes of the climate crisis and the growing movement calling for solutions. She will offer practical tips for what we can keep doing, stop doing, and start doing to protect the environment and move ourselves off the Endangered Species list. The club will host an informal meet and greet for the author from 5:30 to 6:30. Jill is scheduled to speak at 6:30.

Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families
Weekly Meeting
When: Weekly – Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Where: United Methodist Church, 12855 Boulder St., Boulder Creek, in White Cabin across street – in the gravel parking lot.
Details: Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA) is a 12-step program for people who grew up in a dysfunctional home. Adult children bring self-doubt and fear learned in childhood to their adult interactions. The only requirement to attend is that you were raised in a dysfunctional home.
Boulder Creek 4th of July Parade
When: Thursday July 4, 10:00am
Where: Downtown Boulder Creek
Details: Please join us in Boulder Creek on the 4th of July! After the parade you can walk down to Junction Park on the river bank and enjoy live music and food. Want breakfast too? Come to the firehouse between 7am-10am for some pancakes, and help support or volunteer firefighters.
