Scotts Valley will ring in the Holiday season with it’s annual tree-lighting festival on Dec. 5.
The celebration begins at 5 p.m. at the large tree near Walgreens in Scotts Valley. There will be a canned food drive to benefit Valley Churches United Missions, a raffle for a decorated holiday tree, photos with Santa Claus, carriage rides, skating, a barbecue, and other festivities.
Those who attend can donate cas or cash to participate in some of the events, with a can equaling a dollar.
The tree was decorated Monday afternoon, Nov. 30, by a crew from West Coast Cranes, Tyco Construction and Alexander Electric.
