• A woman stole another woman’s checkbook and cashed three checks at two stores at midnight on the 12700 block of Central Avenue in Boulder Creek.

• A Ben Lomond man reported that someone tried to fraudulently purchase items on the Internet using his debit card at 8 p.m. on the 1000 block of Stanford Way.

• A man was arrested for being drunk in public at midnight on the 4700 block of Highway 9 in Felton.

• A Ben Lomond man had his checkbook stolen from his house and discovered that someone cashed a forged $1,500 check and made nine fraudulent charges on a separate bank account, he reported at midnight on the 300 block of Brackney Road.

• John Scurfield, a 26-year-old from Watsonville, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 11:20 p.m. at the intersection of Graham Hill Road and Ocean Street.
• A 63-year-old Saratoga woman suffered minor injuries in a crash at 10:55 a.m. on southbound Highway 17 near Pasatiempo.

• Lyudmila Dolginsky, a 22-year-old from Los Gatos, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after her car struck the center divide at 5:58 a.m. on northbound Highway 17 near Pasatiempo.

Dec. 8
• Officers issued 49 citations for various moving and equipment violations during the Before Aggressive Drivers Get Everyone Stopped enforcement day. Seven traffic officers from around the county came to Scotts Valley and, besides issuing citations, arrested one driver for a suspended license and another on suspicion of driving a commercial vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

• A 41-year-old man was arrested after he was found sleeping in a field west of a convenience store on the 600 block of Mount Hermon Road at 9:24 p.m.

• Police responded to a verbal fight between a couple who accused each other of battery at 8:11 a.m. in central Scotts Valley. Both people were cited and released.
