• A man’s mother told police where her son was staying before he was taken to Santa Cruz County Jail at midnight on the 300 block of Juanita Road in Boulder Creek.
• A man was caught on video stealing a $13.99 bottle of alcohol at 6:18 a.m. on the 7900 block of Highway 9 in Ben Lomond.

• A man was taken to jail on suspicion of being drunk in public at midnight on the 11500 block of Highway 9 in Brookdale.

• During a probation search, a woman was found to have glass pipe and tested positive for methamphetamine use at 8 p.m. on the 15600 block of Highway 9 in Boulder Creek.

• A woman was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance while her car was parked in a church parking lot at 3:10 a.m. on the 9500 block of Central Avenue in Ben Lomond.
• A woman was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public at midnight on the 800 block of Blue Ridge Road in Boulder Creek.

• A man was arrested after he was found with a stolen driver’s license and debit card, drug paraphernalia at 8:20 p.m. on Highway 9 at Mountain Street in Boulder Creek.

• Three people reported mail theft, including personal identity information, at about 8 a.m. on the 14700 block of Big Basin Way in Boulder Creek.

Dec. 20
• During a traffic stop for speeding, a driver bailed on foot and escaped at 11:08 p.m. on the 100 block of Mount Hermon Road. He was later identified by combining prior contacts with his vehicle and a mug shot picture.
• At a sobriety checkpoint, officers saw a 28-year-old man park his car and walk away at 1:04 a.m. on the 200 clock of Mount Hermon Road. Upon contact, he was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was taken to county jail.

• More than 700 vehicles were screened during a sobriety checkpoint on Mount Hermon Road. Eight drivers were investigated for drunken driving; one person was arrested for driving under the influence, three were arrested for narcotics violations and one was arrested for public intoxication.
• An 18-year-old displayed signs of intoxication and was found with a bag of methocarbamol without a prescription at 10:41 p.m. at the Metro Center on the 200 block of King’s Village Road.

• Someone stole a young person’s electric guitar from a gymnasium during a wrestling tournament at 1:45 p.m. on the 500 block of Glenwood Drive.

• Someone stole a 50-inch extension cord from a 74-year-old woman’s front porch at 8 p.m. on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road.
Dec. 16
• A 19-year-old woman was seen on video surveillance stealing several charity donation jars at 12:43 a.m. on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road. She was caught while exchanging coins for paper currency and was identified by witnesses.
• A 20-year-old woman was caught trying to steal food in her purse at 11:53 a.m. on the 100 block of Victor Square.

• Someone entered a locked administration building and took a 48-inch flat-screen television and a DVD player from the lobby at 6:30 p.m. on the 800 block of Bethany Drive.
