County Park Friends, the nonprofit partner of Santa Cruz County Parks, has announced the launch of its All Kids Play 2025 campaign, an ambitious initiative aiming to raise $100,000 by December 2025.

The campaign is dedicated to funding scholarships and park improvements that enable local youth to enjoy healthy, active and enriching outdoor experiences.

The campaign emphasizes the importance of equitable access to recreational activities, such as swimming lessons, sports camps and nature exploration programs. Recognizing that many families face financial barriers, County Park Friends’ All Kids Play scholarships ensure that cost is never an obstacle to participation.

Last year alone, community donations helped connect 1,111 youth to County Parks programs and funded 383 full scholarships for activities, including swim lessons, pool guard training, sports camps and nature programs. With demand continuing to grow each year, applications for assistance consistently outpace available funding.

Supporters can learn more or contribute at countyparkfriends.org. Every dollar raised stays in Santa Cruz County, helping to foster stronger kids, families and communities through recreation, confidence and connection.
