Community Bridges has appointed Jaime Cottini as director of communications and external affairs, replacing Tony Nunez, who is the incoming Santa Cruz County supervisor for the Fourth District, the nonprofit announced.

Cottini joins the organization’s leadership team and will oversee communications, marketing, public affairs and fundraising.

“We are excited to welcome Jaime to the team,” said CEO Raymon Cancino. “Jaime brings impressive depth in all levels of communications experience, including long major stints in big tech corporate America, but what really stood out to us was her commitment to our community and her enthusiasm to create meaningful connections and change.”

Cottini founded Cottini Communications Inc. in 2012, providing strategic communications services to public and private companies and nonprofit organizations. She previously led communications for VASA Fitness for six years and spent seven years at Ubisoft overseeing North American communications.

She has also worked with local organizations, including the Scotts Valley Educational Foundation, Vine Hill Elementary Parent Teacher Association and Scotts Valley/San Lorenzo Valley Soccer Club, on marketing communications and fundraising.

“As a longtime resident of Santa Cruz County, I’m enthusiastic about leveraging communications as a force for connection and positive impact in the community I call home,” Cottini said.

A Soquel High School graduate, Cottini earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She has lived in Scotts Valley for 13 years with her husband and two children.
