Hundreds of “Dooners” came together for a “thank you, firefighters” potluck party at Bonny Doon Elementary School last weekend.
People from the community spoke, thanking Cal Fire and local volunteers for the protection and support they provided during the Lockheed Fire, which burned more than 7,800 acres in mid-August. No homes in Bonny Doon were destroyed.
The Bonny Doon Fire and Rescue Team is also looking for a few more volunteers from the community.
