About Opinions

Signed letters to the editor or commentaries may be brought or mailed to the newspaper office at 5215 Scotts Valley Drive, Ste. F, Scotts Valley, CA 95066 or e-mailed to pb******@pr*********.com. Letters of fewer than 300 words that deal with local public issues will be given preference. Letters will be edited for length, clarity and civility. Routine thank-you letters will not be published. All letters must include the name, address and daytime phone number of the writer. Only the name and city or town of residence will be published. Commentaries are opinion pieces that are 500 to 700 words. The editor will consider all commentaries on a space-available basis.
