San Lorenzo Valley Little League
11-12’s
The San Lorenzo Valleys 11 and 12 year-old all stars finished 4-3 in their postseason, with the three losses were by a total of four runs. Tanner Murray starred for the team, blasting seven home runs, including leadoff blasts in four consecutive games.
SLV 13, Watsonville 4
Tanner Murray led off the games with the first of his three home runs. In the fourth, his third homer extended the lead to 8-0. Watsonville closed it to 8-4 with a grand slam but SLV scored five in the 6th on doubles by Jack Gentry and Jackson Turner. The team next fell to Aptos 7-6.
Santa Cruz American 11, SLV 10
Tanner Murray led his fourth consecutive game with a home run, his seventh in four games to help SLV to a 6-0 lead.
Santa Cruz American rallied back for a walk-off two-run single in the bottom of the sixth to end the post-season run.
10-11’s
The team lost to Santa Cruz American 10-0 and finished the post-season 2-4. Big hits came from Howard Forehan, Ben Kanter, Mark Carling, Max Crandall and Justin Rudrow to keep the 10-11s in the hunt. Taj Yanez pitched well for the team.
9-10’s:
The team lost to Scotts Valley 10-3 in their final game, finishing with a post season record 3-3. This is the second year in a row for this group to move beyond pool play. David George and Chris Anderson pitched for the team and Jacob and Julian Auldridge had strong tournaments.

8-9’s
The team fell to Aptos 19-9 in their final game and finished the post season 3-3. Vinnie Prograce and Aidan Callahan led the hitters, and Kobe Pane and Clay Brown pitched well.
Scotts Valley Little League
7-8s
Scotts Valley 7, San Lorenzo Valley 3
In the championship game, Cameron Roberson went 2-for-2 with a double and a walk, Tyler Rehnberg and Weber Stemm had two hits and Jack Matty singled. Joshua Booth pitched two scoreless innings and Zepher Christensen pitched a scoreless sixth. The 8s victory is the third straight for Scotts Valley 7-8-year old all-star teams since District 39 started the 7-8 tournament three years ago.
8-9s
The team won the District 39 tournament at Pajaro Valley, outscoring their opponents 97-19 and finishing 7-0. Dillon Danner got the final win, pitching three innings while recording five strike outs and Sören Burns closed the game with three strike outs. Nick Endres, Burns and Bryce Clark all doubled while Danner, Phil Garrison and Angelo Segretto each had two hits. Kieran Ruf, Bryce Gundersen, Casey Collins, Kyle Smith and Shane Burns each added a hit.
9-10s
The team finished second, going 6-2, with the only losses coming to district champs, Santa Cruz National. Playing four games in four days, the team beat Pajaro Valley, 14-1, lost to Santa Cruz National, 4-2, beat San Lorenzo Valley, 10-3, and then lost to Santa Cruz National in the title game, 10-0.
Carson Spence blasted two home runs, scored 14 times and drove in 13 runs; Ryan Bariteau scored 10 runs and had 14 RBIs. Lead-off hitter Garrett Hormel scored 13 times and Connor Wilson and E.J. Bright, with Ben Lemus and Zach Snider hit well.
Zac Yates and Garrett Fisher pitched for Scotts Valley getting two wins each. Snider pitched 12 innings and led the team with 15 strikeouts.
10-11s
In the first game of the championship round, SLV tallied four runs before Scotts Valley recorded their first out. Kyle Raymond pitched in relief and threw three innings of one-hit, no-run ball. In the bottom of the 5th, trailing 8-1, Scotts Valley scored four, then got six straight hits in the bottom of the sixth, including a double from Mitchell Gaspar, a 2-run double from Jack Kastner and a game-winning single by Conor Santos to win 9-8. Nathan Pisciotta and Daniel Shamshoian both went 3-for-4. Scotts Valley lost their next two games to eventual tournament champion Santa Cruz National 13-8 and runner-up Santa Cruz American 6-1.
