Starting January 14, 2016, Santa CruzMountainsArtCenter in Ben Lomond, announced that a second session of “Art After School” enrichment classes will be offered at each of five local schools: Boulder Creek Elementary, Bonny Doon Elementary, San Lorenzo Valley Elementary, San LorenzoValleyMiddle School and ScottsValleyMiddle School.
Class sizes are limited so teachers can provide a fun and one-on-one instruction for various mediums using both 2D and 3D projects. This year the ArtCenter is excited to offer music. Bonny Doon Elementary students have the opportunity to learn beginning guitar from Amanda West.
“Parents have been excited about the opportunity for their kids to be involved in art,” said SLVES Principal Shannon Calden. Thanks to the generous grant from the ArtsCouncilSanta CruzCounty, 4-week classes are offered for only $30. Class sizes are limited.
