Longtime San Lorenzo Valley resident Barbara Hanson died Oct. 14 in Boulder Creek She was 66.
Mrs. Hanson, who was born in Denver, Colo., to Doris Mae and Robert Hilliard Hanson, enjoyed creating art, traveling, playing music and walking the beaches of Santa Cruz. She lived in the San Lorenzo Valley for more than 35 years. She had a rat terrier named Sparky.
Survivors include her children, Janene Marin of Ben Lomond, Tod Marin of San Francisco and Bret Marin of Union City; brother, Chris Hanson of Redwood City; and three grandchildren.
A Catholic Mass was celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 20, for Mrs. Hanson at St. Michael’s Church in Boulder Creek.
