Local restaurateur and entrepreneur Mario Ibarra has announced the grand opening of two businesses in Brookdale—Brookdale Cafe & Grill and The Lounge at Brookdale Lodge.
The community is invited to join the Summer Festival celebration on Sunday, July 27, from 12-8pm at 11570 Highway 9 in Brookdale. This fun-filled event marks a fresh chapter for the iconic Santa Cruz Mountains destination, featuring live music, delectable dining options all day, face painting, and plenty of fun festivities for all. Music starts at noon with Woodmill playing Americana, rock, country and folk music.
San Lorenzo Valley Chamber of Commerce will officiate the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4pm, welcoming the revitalized Brookdale Cafe & Grill and The Lounge at Brookdale Lodge to the heart of the community. Guests can satisfy their appetites with a diverse menu from the newly reopened Brookdale Cafe & Grill or savor the flavors of fresh, hot, home-cooked dishes from Charlie Brown’s Native Outlaw BBQ, an outdoor pizza oven, and Mexican specialties.
Following the ribbon-cutting, the celebration will continue with live music from Not So Young, Santa Cruz’s premier Neil Young tribute band.
“We are thrilled to reopen the Brookdale Cafe & Grill and The Lounge, bringing new life to these cherished spaces,” Ibarra said. “This event is a celebration of our community, great food and the enduring spirit of the Santa Cruz Mountains. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to experience the warmth and excitement of this special day.”
The Brookdale Lodge, a historic landmark known for its rich history and unique charm, invites locals and visitors alike to join in the festivities. For more information about the event, follow updates on the event page at facebook.com/events/1516294763059362.
