A $2,000 reward has been offered for the return of $18,000 in silver that was stolen from a home in Ben Lomond on Feb. 14.
When 23-year-old Benjamin Beck returned home from work Feb. 14, he discovered that someone had entered his bedroom on the 200 block of Brackney Road in Ben Lomond and had made off with two small safes and a glass jar of medicinal marijuana.
Inside one of the safes, which had been forcibly removed from its mountings in the floorboards, was $18,000 in silver, representing Beck’s life savings. He had planned to place it in a safety deposit box later that week.
Anyone with information should call the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office at 454-2985.
