SLV chamber welcomes new board members
Ben Lomond’s Cameron Haste and Felton’s Beth Hollenbeck are the newest members of the San Lorenzo Valley Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors.
Haste, who moved to Santa Cruz County in 1999, is executive vice president and chief operations officer of Bay Federal Credit Union.
Hollenbeck, a valley native, owns Glacier Records in Felton, teaches private piano and voice lessons and is a full-time music teacher for Scotts Valley Unified School District. She has directed the Felton Presbyterian Church choir for eight years.
Felton business offers gift
Felton’s Virgo Rising will give a free gift to customers that make a minimum purchase at the store through the end of the year. Virgo Rising, which has holiday hand-warmer mugs and lights that throw moon and star shapes on the walls, is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day except Saturday, when it is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Ben Lomond shop offers discount haircuts
Hair Frenzy, formerly Brendalins Hair Design in Felton, recently opened its doors at 9571 Highway 9 in Ben Lomond. Penny Golding and Brendalin Ashley have become business partners and opened the shop together.
Ashley offers haircuts, perms, color and other services, and Golding will give $8 haircuts in December.
