Bob Lang has been appointed the director of systems engineering for Scotts Valley-based IDE Corp.
Lang has more than 23 years of experience in engineering, managing and designing products from concept to high-volume production.
Lang was a client of IDE for eight years, most recently as chief technology officer at Saratoga-based Gyration.
Lang has worked with IDE on wireless computer mouses and remote controls, wireless keyboards and LCD display panels.
Home Solutions to host open house
The nonprofit Home Solutions Institute will host two open houses in its Scotts Valley office this month.
The organization helps veterans, single parents, older residents, people with disabilities and young entrepreneurs create sustainable long-term income through home-based businesses.
The open houses will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 24 and from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 26 at 230 Mt. Hermon Road, Ste. 211.
