Chocolatiers celebrate anniversary
ScottsValley’s Chocolate Visions will host a one-year anniversary celebration of its store in theKingsVillageShopping Centeron June 23 and 24.
All chocolates will be sold at a 20 percent discount, and visitors can taste chocolate and confection samples and partake of a raffle and refreshments.
Chocolate Visions was started eight years ago by Lloyd and Lindy Martin as a wholesale business producing unique fine chocolates. The couple dips or molds all of the chocolates by hand and specializes in chocolates for wineries.
“We have made chocolates for over 80 wineries all up and down the West Coast,” said Lindy Martin.
The Martins’ most recent creation is a line of sugar-free chocolates they call “Sugar Free Stars.” The sweets are made in six flavors with colorful designs, includingOrange, Java, Chai, Peppermint, Limon (lemon-lime with a touch of sea salt) and Omega (olive oil and sea salt).

Chef’s dinner on tap
Chef Dominique Crenn from Atelier Crenn inSan Franciscowill prepare a five-course meal inScottsValleyas part of Love Apple Farms’ Iconic Chefs Dinners series to support the farm’s internship program.
The dinner will be from 4 to 8 p.m. June 24, a Sunday, at Love Apple Farms,2317 Vine Hill Road. The cost is $165.
Crenn, a French chef who won Esquire Magazine’s 2008 “Chef of the Year” and Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” awards, is known for her artisanal, sustainable cuisine.

Electric motorcycle company partners with action sports brand
ScottsValley’s Zero Motorcycles recently announced that it had partnered with Etnies, an action sports footwear and clothing company.
The apparel company branded the 2012 Zero X motorcycle with its logo package, and the bike has been traveling with Etnies on the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship circuit. The Zero X serves as the “pit bike” for Etnies during the tour, carrying riders and staff members across the track.
Workspace center opens in Los Gatos
Satellite Telework Centers opened its third flexible workspace center in May.
After launching in Felton in 2009 andScottsValleyin 2011, the company opened a branch in theLyndonPlazabuilding overlookingTownPlazaParkinLos Gatos.
Satellite is designed for people who need meeting space, a professional office or an occasional or full-time workspace.
