Hospice suite opens in SV
In partnership with Heartland Hospice, a dedicated hospice suite has opened at Oak Tree Villa assisted living home. Features of the new suite include 24-hour nursing, private bath and living areas and more. Heartland Hospice is a hospice organization that has visited Oak Tree Villa residents for about 10 years. They will continue to provide support to hospice patients.
 
Bank places in top 200
Santa Cruz County Bank placed 103rd of 851 institutions nationwide in the Top Performing 200 Community Banks and Thrifts in the United States. 
Positions for the top 200 institutions were based on a 3-year average return on equity that spans from Dec. 31, 2010 through 2012. In California only 18 banks made the the top 200. For the banks on the list of 200 institutions, their average return on equity was around 9.58 percent with Santa Cruz County Bank’s at 9.6 percent. 
 
Zero awarded e-motorbike honor
Scotts Valley-based Zero Motorcycle’s Zero S model was voted as the European e-Motorbike of the Year for 2013 during the Europe Clean Week 2020 elections. It was the third year Zero earned the honor. Zero’s 2013 Zero DS was elected as second place. 
Clean Week 2020 was held at the Zolder circuit in Belgium and provides a yearly review of future-fuelled, environmentally friendly vehicles.  
Zero also recently announced its new Zero MMX bike designed for military use by U.S. Special Operations Forces. The MMX is billed to provide rapid movement over hostile terrain in silence and with a minimal heat signature.
 
New location for massage parlor
Awaken Massage Therapy has moved to 5353 Scotts Valley Drive in Scotts Valley. They keep their same number, 831-461-1371 in the move. The new location is directly across from Larry’s Auto Care and has green awnings over the front door and window. For information: www.awakenmassagetherapy.com
