More than 85 people were in attendance to listen to Santa Cruz County supervisor candidates Eric Hammer, Bruce McPherson and Bill Smallman answer questions at a forum at the Scotts Valley Community Center on Monday, April 30.
The forum was hosted by the Press-Banner and the Scotts Valley Chambers of Commerce and moderated by San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District Trustee Kip Tellez. The candidates answered questions about topics including improving the economy in Santa Cruz, the environment and youth in the area.
A video of the forum will be posted on www.pressbanner.com in the next several days.
It was the second local forum the candidates attended. The Valley Women’s Club annual forum was April 11 at San Lorenzo Valley High School. Video of that forum is available online at www.vwcweb.org and will be screened on Community Television over the next several weeks.
Election day is June 5.
