Clean air event in Ben Lomond

The Air Around Us — a community environmental event — is scheduled for 1 – 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7 at Ben Lomond Park
The fundraising event will bring the San Lorenzo Valley together to provide support for approaches to improving local air quality. The fundraiser will provide families in need with sustainable firewood for the cold months ahead and help the environment as well.
Fifth District Supervisor Bruce McPherson will serve as keynote speaker.
Valley Women’s Club, Valley Churches United, Monterey Bay Air Resources District and Commuting to Santa Cruz Network Team will all have booths. State parks and San Lorenzo Valley High School will also be at the event.
Music will be provided by the Harmony Grits.
Suggested donation $10 (under 3 free) and seniors $8.
