Scotts Valley Host Lions
The club will host its 41st annual Crab Cioppino Feed and Dance on March 5 at the CPDES Hall, 216 Evergreen St., at Harvey West Park in Santa Cruz.
The dinner includes all-you-can-eat crab, garlic bread, salad and dessert, plus a raffle and dancing to the local favorite Billy Martini Show ’70s Revue Band.

The Lions meet at 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday and at 7 a.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month at Scotts Valley Senior Center, 70 Kings Village Road.
Scotts Valley Rotary Club
Several Scotts Valley Rotarians have returned from a trip to Guatemala, where they distributed medical equipment, clothing and toys to the underserved, often mistreated Mayan population.
The club’s annual Bids for Kids Dinner, Dance and Live Auction is scheduled for June 3 at the Scotts Valley Community Center, 360 Kings Village Road. The club’s goal is to raise $30,000 to for young people in local and international communities. Tickets are $40.
The club meets at 12:30 p.m. Mondays at the Hilton Scotts Valley, 6001 La Madrona Drive.
Santa Cruz Moose Lodge No. 545
Lodge members were delighted to discover they earned the coveted service club’s Pink Can Award for their fundraising efforts for Valley Churches United Missions this past holiday season.
The club will serve a special tri-tip dinner followed by a presentation of the Moose organization history Saturday, Feb. 26. “The Legacy of the Moose” will be narrated and performed by members and their families.
The Felton 4-H Club had a game night at the lodge on Feb. 5, and Boy Scout Troop 676 had its Blue and Gold dinner at the lodge Feb 12. Lodge members participated in the Adopt-A-Highway program by picking up trash at the Pasatiempo Park and Ride area.

Kiwanis Club of Scotts Valley
Kiwanis is preparing for Music at Skypark 2011. Committees have been formed for sponsorships, advertising, band selection and publicity, and vendor registration. Volunteers are encouraged to contact club members through the website or e-mail address below.
Students may still apply for the Mike Smith Scholarship and the Grabill Scholarship. Applications must be in by March 25. All graduating seniors are eligible for the $2,500 Smith award and Key Club participants for the $1,000 Grabill award. Requirements are online and at school counseling officers.
Kiwanis now meets at the Hilton Scotts Valley, 6001 La Madrona Drive. The second Wednesday of each month (March 9) is a dinner meeting ($20). All other Wednesdays, breakfast starts at 7 a.m. ($1 plus individual tabs).
Those interested in the charitable work of Kiwanis are welcome to attend.
