Kiwanis of the Valleys
Club members completed refurbishment of our mobile stage, and it was then immediately put to use at the Relay for Life event at Skypark on June 6 through 8. Later that week the stage was used for both the middle school and high school graduation ceremonies.
Next, the stage will be utilized at the Hop ‘N Barley Festival June 26 through 28. The following weekend it will be the showcase for musical entertainment at Scotts Valley’s July 4th celebration.
The club continued on with our regular program of highway cleanup on the southbound section of Highway 17.
Club members attended outstanding year-end concerts by SV Middle School and SV High School students. It was gratifying to note the progress made by these two programs, especially since they benefit from the funds raised through the Kiwanis Music at Skypark summer concert series.
Sponsorship donations for Music at Skypark 2015 are on pace to hit a record, as several new businesses have signed on. If you would like to join as a sponsor, or if you can act as a volunteer at any of the three concerts this summer (July 26, Aug 30, Sept 27), please contact us at http://www.kiwanisofthevalleys.org/
Kiwanis meets at 7 a.m. every Wednesday morning at Bruno’s BBQ. The second Wednesday of each month is an evening meeting at Bruno’s at 6:30 p.m. We invite you to join us.
