The Planet Cruz Comedy Hour with Richard Stockton will perform its act at Don Quixote’s in two weeks, with a special twist for the local crowd.
Not only will Felton musician Patty Maxine be part of The Planetoids’ band performance, but the crew has tailored the show, “Seeking Higher Ground,” to highlight the town.
The show will open with a screening of the Spaceman’s journey to Felton, in which the fugitive Spaceman will be pursued on the train and on Highway 9 by police, Bigfoot and the Santa Cruz County building codes department.
The performance will also feature Teresa Tudury of “Please Put Mrs. God on the Phone” fame; juggler and storyteller Izzi Tooinsky; and the music of Rhan Wilson, Olaf Schiappacasse, Matt Bohn and Maxine.
Planet Cruz will perform Jan. 2 at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz as a prelude to the Felton performance.
