EDITOR,
In an article published by the Press-Banner (“Lompico water district faces investigation,” Oct. 9), it was revealed that the grand jury of Santa Cruz County is investigating the Lompico County Water District.
Usually, grand jury investigations remain confidential until the reports are released at the end of the grand jury term, which will be June 30. Although the grand jury did not release the topic of investigation to the press, the grand jury would like to use the publicity generated from the release to offer the public an opportunity to provide information relevant to the Lompico County Water District.
Verifiable information pertaining to the Lompico County Water District — such as water quality, delivery system, service and history of the water district — would be welcomed, including photographs of interest. Please be advised that original materials will not be returned; copies will be accepted.
Names of individuals sending information will be kept completely confidential. Materials sent anonymously will not be read and will be destroyed.
Factual materials should be sent to the grand jury office in the Government Center, 701 Ocean St., Room 318-I, Santa Cruz 95060. Materials must be received by Dec. 8.
