EDITOR,
We, the people, have many rights and privileges. One of our most cherished is the First Amendment right to freedom of speech. Some bloggers are abusing that right.
Anonymous blogging, more times than not, is about vilifying and defaming victims rather than saying anything constructive or truthful.
In the world before computers, anonymous letters were called “poison pen” letters. Cyberbullying is another form of poison. Anonymous blogging is a cowardly act. Bloggers attempt to destroy reputations and careers and have caused teenagers to commit suicide. Bloggers should not be allowed to hide behind First Amendment rights.
In recent months, I have been the victim of a vile and malicious anonymous blogger. Until you have experienced this, you have no idea how impossible it can be to defend yourself from an anonymous blogger who cares nothing for the truth. What happened to integrity?
I challenge my cyber bully, LompicoTOS, to stand up in public by giving his or her name. Until TOS reveals his or her real name, TOS remains a coward, a bully, a person without integrity or scruples.
