Concord man dies in Pasatiempo collision

A 21-year-old man from Concord was killed after he lost control of the 1998 Honda Civic he was driving and collided with a tree on Highway 17 southbound near Pasatiempo Drive early Monday morning.
Conditions were wet and dark and the man was wearing a seatbelt, according the California Highway Patrol.
The man, Ulisses Fonseca, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Pasatiempo Drive exit was closed for 2 ½ hours during the investigation which is still under investigation by the CHP.
