However, a 99-yard touchdown reception by St. Francis’ Zach Scurich with seven minutes left ensured a win for the Sharksby a final tally of 34 – 31 in their Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League opener.
The Cougars (1-3-1 overall, 0-1 SCCAL) look to bounce back from the loss at
7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, against the Mariners at Aptos High School (4-1, 1-0).
