The 2011 Holiday Craft and Gift Fair will be held next Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5 and 6 at the Scotts Valley Senior and Community centers. The fair has been held for more than a decade and is the second largest in the county
The fair will host more than 50 vendors, many with traditional and contemporary wares and proceeds benefit programs and resources at the senior center. One new vendor is Jay Topping, who makes vintage signs of old Santa Cruz scenes on sheet metal.
A returning vendor is Bryan Iles who makes several varieties of birdhouses, and another returning vendor travels from Los Banos with delicious candy.
Two kitchens will be open serving food at reasonable prices.
There will also be a raffle and bake sale. Sue Kerr at the Senior Center Boutique will sell special items and some antiques, donated by members. This is the place many people find treasures to pass on to the next generation. Special crafts for the holidays include unique tree ornaments.
The fair is at 360 Kings Village Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For information: 438-8666.
