Jayme Kelly Curtis puts down the dulcimer and picks up the guitar and ukulele to show her blues roots as she opens for Baby Gramps at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Don Quixote’s in Felton.
Backed by multi-instrumentalist Topher Gayle, she says she plans a set of classic and obscure tunes from Tin Pan Alley and the backcountry. Baby Gramps is a steel guitar-wielding balladeer who’s appeared on “The David Letterman Show” and on “Rogue’s Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys,” a CD released in connection with the most recent “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie.
