A memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 1, for Dann Eugene Bryan-Rudy, known as “Disco,” who died Sept. 18 in Scotts Valley. He was 51.
Mr. Bryan-Rudy was born in Nebraska to James and Joyce Bryan. He moved to California at an early age and graduated from Soquel High School.
He worked in construction and as a Scotts Valley firefighter, an emergency medical technician-paramedic and a truck driver.
He was involved in the Ducks Unlimited Organization, which protects the wetlands of America. Mr. Bryan-Rudy lived for hunting and fishing and loved to spend time with friends and family.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Rudy of Scotts Valley; his grandmother, Phyllis Rose of Willits; and his brother Jim Rudy, sister-in-law Sheri Rudy and two nieces, all of Reno, Nev.
Saturday’s memorial will begin at 3 p.m. at the Scotts Valley Senior Center, 370 Kings Village Road, in Scotts Valley.
