**A 65-year-old man reported that someone had entered his home on the 400 block of Whispering Pines Drive and stole a laptop at 3 a.m. The laptop’s serial number was entered into the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System.
**A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of vandalism at 10:15 a.m. on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road after he tried to remove items from his past-due storage container. While trying to sneak into the facility, he damaged a fence and caused about $250 worth of damage.
**A 37-year-old man exposed his genitals to someone at a park on the 300 block of Kings Village Road at 1:48 p.m. The other person refused to prosecute, but the man was arrested and booked into Santa Cruz County Jail for violation of probation terms.
July 8
**Someone stole a 52-year-old man’s motorcycle that had been locked up with a chain in front of his house at 7 p.m. on the 100 block of Bean Creek Road.
July 6
**A 36-year-old man was found to be intoxicated at 9:25 a.m. on the corner of Terrace View Drive and Scotts Valley Drive. He was arrested after officers determined he was unable to care for his own safety.
July 5
**A 45-year-old man and a 20-year-old man reportedly physically assaulted each other at 2:46 a.m. on the 500 block of Flora Lane. No charges were pursued.
**A vehicle was stopped at 9:30 p.m. on northbound Highway 17 after officers saw that the passenger was not wearing his seat belt. The 21-year-old passenger had a misdemeanor warrant and was cited.

** A stolen vehicle was seen blocking the roadway at midnight on Empire Grade in Santa Cruz. The driver claimed he had run out of gas after renting the vehicle from a rental agency in San Jose. The vehicle had been reported as stolen in San Jose on July 1, and the man was arrested. A rental agreement indicating a one-day rental a month earlier was found inside.
**A man was reported as missing from a care facility on Rose Acres Lane in Felton at 4:30 p.m. He was found in Santa Cruz by police the following day.
July 8
**A man reported at midnight that about $12,000 worth of iron fencing had been stolen from his property on the 15000 block of Highway 9 in Boulder Creek.
July 6
** A business on the 300 block of Fireside Road in Boulder Creek reported several things as missing from their property at 11:30 a.m. No suspects were identified.
