July 12
An object that might have been an explosive was found at 3:33 p.m. on the 13200 block of Central Avenue in Boulder Creek. The sheriff’s bomb team disposed of the object.
A vehicle was found running at 8:45 a.m. on the 700 block of Eduardo Avenue in Ben Lomond. The driver was asleep and was reported missing out of San Francisco.
July 10
Two men’s mountain bikes were stolen from a carport at 5:30 p.m. on the 5700 block of Valley Drive in Felton.
The front windshield of a parked vehicle was smashed at 7:30 p.m. on the 200 block of Sunbeam Avenue in Boulder Creek.
A neighbor saw people use a crowbar to open a window to enter a home on the 100 block of Clearview Place in Felton at 10:05 p.m. One of the suspects was the homeowner’s grandson. The homeowner had feared that his grandson would break in to host a party while he was out of town, so he asked the neighbor watch the house.
July 9
A woman left her purse at a business on the 13100 block of Central Avenue in Boulder Creek, and a person was seen on surveillance video taking it at 5:35 p.m.
July 8
Someone entered a home on the 200 block of Ridge Road in Ben Lomond and took several bottles of alcohol, a green plastic frog containing $400 in change and drove off in the victim’s blue and white Ford F-150 that was parked in front.
During a probation search of a woman’s home on the 100 block of Riverside Avenue in Ben Lomond, the woman was found with heroin, a loaded syringe and several pills, including codeine.
A man’s vehicle was stopped for expired registration tags at 10:52 p.m. on the 400 block of Willow Way in Felton. The driver was on probation, and a search turned up heroin in his possession.
July 5
A deputy conducted a bar search at the tavern on the 9400 block of Highway 9 in Ben Lomond and saw a 20-year-old man with whom he was familiar from a previous arrest. The man was also on felony probation for a commercial burglary. He left the bar before deputies were able to contact him. The deputy contacted the owner about the underage customer, and the owner was uncooperative and claimed he had not broken any laws by allowing a 20-year-old into his bar.

July 13
There were reports of a reckless driver on North Navarra Drive and Granite Creek Road at 11:16 p.m. The vehicle was located, and the owner was found hiding in nearby bushes with the keys in his hand. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI.
July 11
A 37-year-old man was caught trying to steal alcohol from the grocery store on the 200 block of Mt. Hermon Road at 5:35 p.m.
July 10
A 29-year-old man was caught carrying $72 worth of groceries from a store on the 200 block of Mt. Hermon Road without paying for them at 2:35 p.m. He was arrested and released with a court date. The man said he had left his wallet in his truck.
July 8
Four 8-foot sections of wooden fence were vandalized with undecipherable scribbles and a 2-foot-by-8-foot section was torn down from in front of a business on the 200 block of Civic Center Drive at 10 p.m.
July 7
A woman dropped her cell phone in water while getting her nails done at 4:25 p.m. on the 200 block of Mt. Hermon Road. While the phone dried off outside, it was stolen.
July 6
Someone displayed his penis to a woman several times while she was working at noon on the 6000 block of Scotts Valley Drive. The man left the scene in a black SUV.
