  • 3:08 a.m.: A Boulder Creek woman decided to press charges related to obscene and annoying phone calls after reporting that someone had made five unwanted calls to her home from the same phone number and left three sexually explicit voicemail messages.

April 6

  • Midnight: A probation search of a Boulder Creek man’s property on the 17800 block of Highway 236 turned up two rifles, a rifle stock, a hypodermic syringe and other drug-related items. A warrant was issued for his arrest, but he was not at home at the time of the search and was at large as of Saturday, April 7.
  • 11:51 p.m.: A motorist was pulled over, arrested and turned over to California Highway Patrol officers for suspected drunken driving after deputies spotted a vehicle crossing over the double-yellow lines and white fog lines on the 8700 block of Quail Hollow Road in Ben Lomond.

April 5

  • Midnight: A parolee was arrested during a compliance check on the 18200 block of China Grade in Boulder Creek, where he was found to be under the influence of drugs and admitted to having used drugs a few days earlier. Three hypodermic syringes were found in the man’s apartment, along with a burnt spoon suspected to be used to prepare drugs for injection.

April 4

  • Midnight: Deputies responded to a mental health call on the 500 block of Glenwood Cut-off in Scotts Valley. According to the report, a man there was initially willing to be checked into a behavioral health unit, but when he spotted the police cruiser, he grabbed a large metal disc and held it threateningly toward deputies. He allegedly refused to follow the deputies’ orders, and they shocked him with a stun gun and arrested him.

April 3

  • Midnight: A man was arrested on suspicion of entering a home on the 100 block of Madrona Way in Boulder Creek without permission and stealing cigarettes.

April 7

  • 3:41 a.m.: Officers saw a vehicle drifting repeatedly over the fog lines on southbound Highway 17 near the Mount Hermon Road exit and signaled for the driver to stop. The 30-year-old man was cited and released when officers determined that his license had been suspended. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

April 6

  • 5:06 p.m.: A 38-year-old man was contacted by officers at the intersection of Terrace View and Scotts Valley drives and subsequently consented to a drug test, according to the terms of his probation. He was arrested and booked after he allegedly tested positive for using drugs. 
  • 10:31 p.m.: Police took a vandalism report involving graffiti on the rear door of a business on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road.

April 5

  • 1:09 p.m.: A man was detained by loss-prevention workers at a store on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road after he allegedly hid merchandise and carried it out of the store. When police arrived, he was cited for petty theft and released.
  • 11:11 p.m.: A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness after he was nearly struck by a police cruiser while skateboarding on the road near the intersection of Granite Creek Road and Scotts Valley Drive. 

April 2

  • 11 a.m.: The owners of a business on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road reported that someone had tried to break into the store, damaging the back door knob and leaving pry marks. An in-store surveillance camera recorded the incident.
  • 2:13 p.m.: A 20-year-old woman was arrested on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road after friends of a man whose scooter had been stolen said they saw her riding the missing scooter near a local coffee shop. The friends followed the woman to Kings Village Shopping Center, where they were met by police. The owner of the stolen scooter identified the scooter as his.
  • 4:46 p.m.: A 29-year-old man was arrested for a felony warrant and on suspicion of burglary after loss-prevention workers detained him as he left a store on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road with hidden merchandise.

n 10:57 p.m.: During a traffic stop on northbound Highway 17 near the Santa’s Village Road exit, a 52-year-old man agreed to a search of the vehicle he was driving, and officers discovered unprescribed marijuana and prescription pills. The man was arrested and released.
