11:54 a.m.: Firefighters extinguished a small fire on the 100 block ofSherman Lane. It appeared to have been caused by malfunctioning landscape lighting that had been left on for several days because of a faulty timer. The fire kindled in some new redwood bark that had been laid around the lighting.

Midnight: A man who allegedly caused a disturbance aboard a bus was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness on the 2600 block ofGraham Hill Roadin Felton.
Midnight: A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public atJunctionParkin Boulder Creek.

Midnight: A man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness when deputies found him on the 2600 block ofGraham Hill Roadin Felton and determined that he was too intoxicated to take care of himself.
1:24 p.m.: A resident of the 7100 block ofMcAdams Lanein Felton declined to press charges after her roommate reportedly brandished a firearm at her during an argument.

Midnight: A woman’s car was damaged when another woman allegedly kicked it on the 200 block of Either Way in Boulder Creek. Police took a report.
2:06 p.m.: Deputies arrested, cited and released a man on the 12900 block ofCentral Avenuein Boulder Creek who allegedly attacked another man and his wife when he passed them on the sidewalk.

9:54 a.m.: Police took a report about son who grabbed his mother’s wrists to stop her from throwing items around the house during an argument in westScottsValley. The pair agreed to separate for the day.
 June 7
7:35 a.m.: Figures were found drawn on several walls ofVineHillElementary Schoolwith red and blue spray paint. Officers took a vandalism report.
10:36 p.m.: A 50-year-old man was arrested for a felony warrant when officers responded to a report of a suspicious person loitering outside a discount store on the 200 block ofMount Hermon Road.

Ten officers from the California Highway Patrol and theScottsValley, Capitola,Santa CruzandWatsonvillepolice departments descended onScottsValleyduring a Before Aggressive Drivers Get Everyone Stopped (BADGES) day. They issued 53 citations, towed three vehicles and arrested two motorists for driving on suspended licenses.
8:24 a.m.: Officers pulled over a vehicle for having tinted taillights on the 3400 block ofGlen Canyon Roadand arrested the driver, a 37-year-old man whose license had been suspended because of a drunken-driving incident.
6:23 p.m.: A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting on the 200 block ofMount Hermon Road. Loss prevention workers reportedly saw him concealing several bottles of alcohol on his person and trying to leave with them.
8:08 p.m.: Police arrested a 33-year-old man who allegedly choked his girlfriend and injured her knee with a child’s toy during an argument that turned physical.

4:38 a.m.: In what police described as an attempted burglary, a white panel work truck with a ladder rack backed into the front sliding glass doors of Walgreens,210 Mount Hermon Road, and left the area. Police said an ATM machine inside the store near the front doors was the likely target. Anyone with information should call Scotts Valley Police Department, 440-5670.
