1:35 a.m.: A Boulder Creek resident reported that her live-in boyfriend had covered her mouth with one hand and used the other to try to choke her during an argument. The boyfriend had fled by the time deputies arrived at the scene.
4:02 p.m.: A man was arrested at a home on the 100 block of Cheney Way in Boulder Creek when deputies determined that he was violating a restraining order by being there.
 
Dec. 31
8:46 a.m.: A man was arrested on the 13200 block of Central Avenue in Boulder Creek after deputies investigating reports of marijuana for sale on Craigslist.org responded to an advertisement on the website and arranged a sale. About 15 ounces of marijuana was seized.
8:16 p.m.: Deputies arrested a man and a woman on the 600 block of San Lorenzo Avenue who allegedly resisted arrest when they were contacted on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs.
 
Dec. 29
6:06 p.m.: A woman was arrested by deputies on the 400 block of High Street in Brookdale for allegedly being under the influence of drugs.
 
Dec. 26
Midnight: A man was arrested inside a storage box he was using as a residence without the owner’s permission on the 9100 block of Highway 9 in Ben Lomond. The property owner claimed that when he requested that the man leave, the man chased him with a metal bar, causing an estimated $950 in damage to his vehicle.
Midnight: A man was arrested for public drunkenness on the 6100 block of Highway 9 in Felton.

Jan. 1
9:19 a.m.: Police took a report after a man walking his dog noticed that two mailboxes had been knocked off their posts and damaged on the 800 block of Whispering Pines Drive.
 
Dec. 30
9:50 a.m.: A resident of Burlwood Drive reported that her purse and Samsung tablet computer were missing from inside her home. She also reported that she had returned home twice in the previous week to find doors open.
6:40 p.m.: A woman reported that her iPad had been taken after she accidentally left it in a shopping cart on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road.
10:58 p.m.: A resident of Burlwood Drive reported that someone had entered her vehicle between Dec. 26 and Dec. 30 and tried to remove the subwoofers. She also reported that she was unable to find her keys.
11:54 p.m.: Officers found a man inside the closed skate park on the 300 block of Kings Village Road and arrested him for a probation violation and alleged possession of methamphetamine.
 
Dec. 28
11:11 p.m.: A man was arrested and released with a citation after officers determined that he was driving with a suspended license. They stopped him for a vehicle code violation at the intersection of Scotts Valley and Civic Center drives. The vehicle was towed from the scene following his arrest.
 
Dec. 26
11:24 a.m.: A resident of Vine Hill School Road reported that a wallet, a pair of binoculars and other items were taken from inside an unlocked vehicle.
5:46 p.m.: A resident of Granite Creek Road reported that several items had gone missing from inside the home.
 
California Highway Patrol
 According to California Highway Patrol officer Sarah Jackson, officers arrested 15 motorists in Santa Cruz County for driving under the influence of alcohol during the New Year’s weekend — from Friday, Dec. 29, to Tuesday, Jan. 1. CHP records show that three arrests were made on Friday, four on Saturday, two on Sunday, one on Monday and five on Tuesday after midnight.
