1:36 a.m.: Deputies pulled over a vehicle on Highway 9 in Felton for a vehicle code violation. The driver was arrested when he was determined to be under the influence of alcohol.
 
3:35 p.m.: During a probation search on the 000 block of Pasatiempo Drive, deputies arrested two men after locating several small bindles of heroin on the premises.
 
Sept. 4
 
Midnight: A Felton resident reported receiving a letter from an inmate at Soledad State Prison, a violation of a no-contact restraining order.
 
Sept. 3
 
8 a.m.: A resident of the 300 block of More Road in Boulder Creek reported that his home had been burglarized.

Sept. 10
 
10:29 a.m.: Officers took a report after a business on Scotts Valley Drive reported that someone had shoplifted beef jerky.
 
10:33 p.m.: A man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after he allegedly came close to striking a pedestrian on Scotts Valley Drive.
 
Sept. 9
 
1:38 p.m.: A wallet was reported missing outside of a bank on Scotts Valley Drive. The wallet contained a license, cash and credit cards.
 
Sept. 7
 
12:20 p.m.: A man was arrested outside a business on Mount Hermon Road after he allegedly spit in the face of a clerk after yelling at her about traffic-related issues.
 
Sept. 6
 
8:41 a.m.: Officers took a report after a parked truck on Scotts Valley Drive was vandalized and siphoned of gasoline.
 
7:58 p.m.: Two occupants of a vehicle were arrested at the intersection of Scotts Valley Drive and Victor Square during a vehicle stop for a code violation. The men were arrested for a combination of driving on a suspended license, violation of probation, violation of a restraining order and having prescription medications without a prescription.

12:48 a.m.: Officers located a man sleeping inside a vehicle outside a business on Scotts Valley Drive. The man was arrested after the vehicle was found to be stolen.

Sept. 9
 
2 p.m.: Motorcyclist Brett Cross was killed on Highway 35, near the intersection of Bear Creek Road, after his motorcycle struck the side of a turning vehicle. Cross, a 65-year-old male Saratoga resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Boulder Creek Fire Protection District
 
Sept. 6
 
5:31 p.m.: A small fire that started on the outside of a garage on the corner of Highway 9 and Fern Drive in Boulder Creek was controlled by passers-by with a garden hose and fully put out by firefighters in less than half an hour. The fire began when oily rags spontaneously combusted inside a plastic garbage can sitting in the sun next to the garage. It burned a 6-by-8-foot section of the garage, but did not damage anything inside.
