A Nissan Pathfinder hit a power pole on Graham Hill Road, south of Sims Road after the driver fell asleep at the wheel at 12:20 a.m. The crash knocked out electricity to the stoplight all of Sunday, and the intersection was partly closed for the rest of the weekend as Pacific Gas and Electric Co. crews repaired the damage. The passenger in the vehicle was injured, though the driver was unharmed, according to CHP reports.

Police found 1.07 pounds of marijuana, 2.06 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms and various prescription drugs after stopping a car for running a red light at 12:44 a.m. at the intersection of Mount Hermon Road and La Madrona Drive. Elizabeth Jeanette Nagle, a 24-year-old Sacramento resident, and passenger Eric Miles Smith, a 31-year-old transient, were arrested. Nagle was arrested for having prescription drugs without a prescription, and Smith was arrested on suspicion of possession of the marijuana and mushrooms. Smith was also found to be on active felony probation with search and seizure terms for firearms, ammunition and narcotics, police said. He had an outstanding felony arrest warrant with no bail from Humboldt County.

Three men were booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on suspicion of public intoxication at 10:24 p.m. on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road.
A 29-year-old man was found allegedly trespassing on private property at 2:24 p.m. on Granite Creek Road and Scotts Valley Drive. A records check revealed that he was wanted on a felony warrant, and he was booked into county jail.

During a vehicle stop at 5:57 p.m. on Scotts Valley and Quien Sabe drives, two 21-year-olds were found with marijuana.
May 18
Someone was seen dumping auto parts into the creek at 11:18 a.m. on the 5300 block of Scotts Valley Drive.
May 17
Someone used a resident’s check card to make several online purchases, according to reports at 2:38 p.m. on the 100 block of Crescent Court.
Police found graffiti at 11:14 a.m. on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road.
