A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public at 4 p.m. at Junction Park, Junction and Middleton avenues, in Boulder Creek.
A man was found with an out-of-county warrant and arrested at midnight on the 5800 block of Valley Drive.
A Santa Cruz County Public Works Department employee, Henry Lira, 61, was pulled into a wood chipper and killed at 9:09 a.m. on Whiting Road near Paulsen Road, in Watsonville. Employees were doing road maintenance at the time. Lira had worked for the county since 1969.

A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public at 6 p.m. on the 300 block of Brook Lane in Boulder Creek.

Three teenagers were found in a public pool after hours at 12:15 a.m. on the 400 block of Whispering Pines Drive. One was found with alcohol, another with marijuana.

Some teenagers were caught with alcohol in their car after they denied it was there at 9:47 p.m. on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road.
A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public at 12:49 p.m. on the 200 block of King’s Village Road.

Someone stole a GPS-mounting system worth $20 out of an unlocked vehicle at 11:51 p.m. on the 300 block of Piper Cub Court.
Someone keyed a car, causing $500 in damage, at 7 p.m. on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road.

A 31-year-old woman left her sweatshirt with a bottle of Percocet in the pocket in a store restroom, and it was reported as missing at 2:30 p.m. on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road.

Someone stole a wallet out of an unlocked car at 6:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Vine Hill School Road.
